This photo of my wife Joanne and myself Stan Woychuk was taken at "The Top of the Dome" overlooking Dawson City, Yukon Territory during our trip to the Region J Rally at Whitehorse, Yukon in June of 2008. I ride the 2006 GL1800 seen in the photo while Joanne rides a 750 Honda Shadow.
We joined GWRRA in the spring of 2006 and I became the Rider Educator for Chapter AB-B (Edmonton, Alberta) shortly after. It was a lot off fun and I really enjoyed organizing the various Rider Ed courses for our members. In December of 2009 I accepted the position of Rider Educator, Region J. I am currently a Level 4 rider and enjoy the challenge of developing and upgrading my riding skills.
Rider Education is near and dear to our hearts since training improves rider skills and inevitably reduces the potential for accidents/mishaps. We especially like the "Levels Program" because of the commitment a rider/co-rider makes to oneself to train and maintain skills.
